Socialization is an EXTREMELY important factor in raising an AKK puppy. As a breed, there is a tendency toward shyness with strangers so the more intimate contact the puppy has with people and dogs outside the household, the better. This type of training has to be continuous as the puppy grows into adulthood.
Do you think you can get your puppy out and involved in many new situations as soon as possible? *

The Alaskan Klee Kai community is a group where information is exchanged and owners communicate with each other, as well as their breeders. We like to stay in contact with our puppy owners. (Pictures and updates please!) We love seeing how our little ones have turned out and how happy they are and you are having them in your family.
Would you be willing to stay in contact me and/or others about your AKK? *
As breeders of AKK, we are very careful and do our part to maintain the quality of our puppies and the breed. You must understand that the Alaskan Klee Kai is a new and rare breed which is still being monitored. We would ask that you report to us any genetic defects, health problems, or temperament problems that may surface during the life of your AKK. This way we can work together for the good of the breed.
Would you help by reporting to me any genetic defects, health problems, or temperament problems? *
We ask that people buying our puppies will assist us in this endeavor by completing a serious of health screens to be completed by their vet at 12 months old. We supply the forms. You only need to take them to the vet and have them completed. They are OFA Thyroid, OFA Patella, OFA Cardiac, and an Adult Exam which includes CBC and liver panel. Do you agree to do this testing on the dog if we place one with you? *
